Every mom is unique, yet they are all selfless, forgiving, loving and supporting in their own way. Mother’s day is fast approaching in Australia, and I would like to put in my two cents and give you some recommendations. Though mothers should not only be appreciated on one particular day, I say spoil your mom on Mother’s day because this would make her feel extra special, loved and valued.

IKEA Alex drawer unit AU$120 (two colours available)
I have been looking around for a good drawer unit that can house my ever growing makeup collection and have decided that the famous IKEA Alex drawer unit is the best option for me on the market. There are total of five drawers and it is very sturdy. It also comes with stops to prevent drawers coming out too far or being accidently pulled out. My husband spoiled me with my second Alex drawer unit yesterday, I am over the moon! If you are an IKEA enthusiast and are not afraid of DIY, this might be a great gift to spoil a mom.
Target Marble Quilt Cover Set AU$29.00 (Queen Size)
I am really into marble at the moment. To me, it is sleek, stylish and modern. The marble quilt cover set in Target is by far the most affordable set I have ever come across. The marble design looks realistic, and the material of the set is durable (however not the softest, I admit) If you are on a budget and this is a good bargain. Plus I think all moms love bedding products. One thing I want to recommend is that you call your local store first to check if they are in stock as this set is super popular.
Liquid lipsticks (AU$11.95 – $35.00 each)
I do not know about you, I know I love liquid lipsticks. They are long lasting, transfer free and there are tons of colours you can choose from different makeup brands nowadays. There are a few brands that I would recommend however the following brands are more accessible in Australia: The Balm Cosmetics Meet Matte Hughes long lasting liquid lipstick (David Jones), Huda beauty liquid matte (Sephora Australia), NYX Cosmetics soft matte lip crème (Priceline/Target). I feel lipsticks can instantly make a person look put together (provided that it’s the right shade) besides framed brows and curled lashes. I am not going to recommend one particular shade as I know moms out there have different tastes in colours.
Zoeva Rose Golden luxury brush set AU$126
Beautiful rose gold or copper (whichever way you’d like to call it), one of my favourite colours in accessories and home decorations. Zoeva brushes are of very good quality and soft. There is no shedding even after a few washes and the rose golden set looks beautiful on the vanity table.
Ecotools perfecting blender duo
I have a full review about this blender duo a couple of posts back on the blog. Safely to say that I am obsessed and I have been using it to apply foundations nonstop.
Luna Mini 2 AquaMarine Plus bonus Foreo Luna Play AU$179 – available at Shaver Shop Australia
All it takes is one minute twice a day for a fresh, clear and even-looking complexion. The updated 3-zone face brush is optimized for all skin types and comes in five exciting new colors.”
I was luckily gifted Luna Mini 2 and Luna play, and have been trailing them out. I am impressed with these little gadgets. My skin feels cleansed, soft though a bit dry. I find that my nose area appears less flaky since using the product. It’s full rechargeable via a USB and water proof. The bonus Foreo Luna play is not rechargeable though, and can be used up to 100 times.
GUCCI Soho leather disco bag (luxury edition) AU$ 1,300
My new favourite shoulder bag, I bring it with me almost everywhere. It’s roomy inside and has a strap so it’s super easy to carry around for busy moms. It’s stylish and classy and it’s GUCCI. Though I am still dreaming that I would own one of CHANEL bags one day, GUCCI has its own unique place in my heart. If you are thinking seriously spoiling your mom and have the budget for it, you might want to consider this option.
Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline Eau de Toilette (available at Chemist warehouse 65ml AU$49.95)
I am really picky with scents, and Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline is the one that hit the right note and has been one of my favourite scents for many years. I am terrible at describing scents so here it’s the description on the Frangrantica website for your reference.
“Omnia Crystalline is inspired by the perfection of crystal. It is delicate and gentle like the touch of flower petals. This sparkling Eau de Toilette captures the essence of frosted flowers. The top notes bring airy bamboo and exotic Asian fruit Nashi that has a very original and specific fresh aroma, similar to both apple and pear. The heart is ruled by soft and feminine notes of lotus blossom, while the base brings elegant woodsy notes. The fragrance was created by Alberto Morillas in 2005.”
I would love to know what you have spoiled your moms with.
