Happy weekend my dear readers! I went into Chemist Warehouse today(a local chemist often have 50%off their products) and found that all the cosmetics are on sale! I could resist but buy a few.
Last week, I also bought some products from Bourjois through Asos(as you may have seen in my previous posts) , so I thought this is the perfect opportunity to write a makeup haul post.
Most products I bought are my absolute favourite and essential for my daily makeup routine.
1. Swisspers make-up pads
This has been my go to make-up pads for years. I can’t live without make-up pads because I apply toner/lotion/softener with it or spot clean my makeup brushes with it. Even though the price is bit higher than some other local brands, I find that this is the strongest and it isn’t that easy to be torn apart leaving massy fibres on your face. Plus it is often on sale so I can grab one or two and store it.
2. Revlon lip butters
I love this line of lipsticks. It’s glossy but not over the top glossy(do I make any sense here?) it is super creamy and moisturises my lips even though it’s not long lasting. Also there are many colours selections to choose from. My favourite colours are cotton candy, cherry tart, peach parfait, and sweet tart. Today I bought candy apple and juicy papaya, I hope juicy papaya can suit my skin tome though so I’ll try it tomorrow : )
3. Rimmel London Apocalips lip lacquer
I only own one of it before, no. 100 phenomenon. It is a peach nude colour that I don’t think it suits me that great on its own, however when I apply it with Australis Velourlips Matte Lip Cream Pa-Ree it neutralises the darker nude tone and make it a perfect nude lips for me. Today I bought 501 Stellar, a bright red with orange tone. I wasn’t a fan of red lips before however ever since I started to wear more make-up, I am in love with it especially when I try a retro glam look or a simple winged eyeliner look.
4. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
I own shades 20 and it is a colour a little bit darker than my natural skin tone. I bought shade 15 today because I want to use it under my eyes, on the top of the bridge of my nose, on my forehead and under my chin to brighten those areas, you know, by using the famous Kim Kardashian method. I love this concealer, it is creamy, smooth and easy to blend. I like the applicator and just dab it onto my skin.
5. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser
It’s another concealer that I like and use it often. I bought 110 fair/Clair and hope to use it with the similar Kim Kardashian method. It is also creamy and easy to blend but less thick than the fit me concealer.
6. Maybelline the falsies waterproof mascara
A definite love! It holds my curls and make my eye lashes super dark. It is a wet formular mascara so it can clump my lashes a bit if I apply too much. It does not flake or smudge throughout the day. I usually use two mascaras and the falsies is the first coat/mascara I use, and then I’ll use another mascara to separate, lengthen or volumize my lashes( either waterproof or not waterproof).
7. Bourjois chocolate bronzing powder
I have been wanting this forever. First of all, how cute the packaging is! However I could not find it in Australia. Lucky I saw a post from “loveleysbesutybox ” in which it enlightened me to look for it through the Bourjois website. From there it led me to www.asos.com.au which sell this product. I’m ecstatic to be honest as the price is super affordable($13.71, such a steal, )and my dream finally came true. It has gold shimmer in the actual product, however once applied in my face, you can’t really see it. It’s gives me the perfect tanned, sun kissed glow without looking orange or dirty. It has definitely become one of my favourite bronzers and I can’t stop using since I got it!
8. Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet
I bought two of them to test out. I like how it felt on my lips and long lasting. It can stain your lips and it is a bit hard to take it off. It retails $24 at Priceline, I bought from Asos for $17.63.
What are your favourite concealers? What are your go-to lip colours? Please share with me.
Thanks for reading. Hope you have enjoyed my haul.
