Today I bring you a quick review of Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation.
“Corrects and conceals all blemishes. Innovation: 3 correcting pigments, 0 imperfections.
Its formula contains 3 colour correcting pigments:
1. Yellow pigment- conceals dark circles for a rested look
2. Mauve pigments – corrects dullness for radiance
3. Green pigments – neutralised redness and evens out the complexion
Soft and smooth formula for an undetectable, second skin finish.”
This foundation(30ml) comes in a glass bottle with a pump. I read some reviews saying that it’s very long wearing especially for oily skins. I purchased it at Priceline when it’s was not on sale, which it is totally not wise (it costs AU$32.00 incl. gst). After using for a while, I have to say that unfortunately this is not a foundation I would repurchase, and let me explain why.
I got shade 52 and it is a very good match for my MAC NC 20 skin. (I like that Bourjois keeps their shade system consistent). This foundation is relatively long lasting, however, I could see the natural oil coming through at about 6-7th hour at my T-zone. It provides buildable, medium to full coverage and give a matte powdery finish. I admit it does make my skin look flawless from a distance. Though the foundation is not thick in consistency, and I got time to pat it into my skin using a beauty blender (does not dry very fast), it accumulates around areas that are dry and make my face look a little cakey. It does not blur or smooth pores.
Personally, I prefer to use a damp beauty blender. Also I always well hydrate and moisturise my face beforehand. With the right type of setting powder, it lasts much longer without oil coming through (i.e. Laura Mercier loose setting powder).
With everything considered, this won’t be a foundation I would re-purchase.
