Hi everyone, hope you are having a great day. Today’s post is my current brow routine.
I have been drawing my brows for a many many years as I am not gifted with naturally beautiful full brows. I used to have bushy brows and it grows everywhere. I still remember the day vividly that I was running from my friend and mum as they were trying to fix my brows. Somehow one day in university, I suddenly realized the importance of the brows that could bring to a person’s whole face feature, and since then I have been obsessed with fixing my brow shape and trying new brow products. If you ask me what is the one beauty product I cannot live without, I believe you will all know the answer now.
As a general thumb of rule, I should use brow shade that are one or two shades lighter than my natural hair colour which will make brows look more natural after being filled in. I normally do not like warmer shade since I have dark brown hair, and my brows are naturally black. Unless it’s filled in perfectly, it looks horrible especially in flash photography as if I have drawn ombre eyebrows (however, not in a nice way). Brow shades with gray undertone(not ashy though) such as Anastasia brow wiz in dark brown are the way to go in my opinion.
Now let’s have a look of the following swatches. As you can see from the pictures, except of Sigma beauty brow gel, all of the shades lean towards warm or ashy side.

To make good use of these brow products and to make them fit my natural brow colour, I have been using the following steps to fill in my brows (and I have been loving it as I feel it make myself more younger looking, lighten up my whole face feature).
1. use the Estee Lauder brow pencil to draw two lines (which are parallel to each other) in short, light stokes along my underside and on the top edge of my brows. I usually draw the tails of my brows when I am drawing the line along my underside of my brows.
2. use Australis brow shaping kit (mix two of the brown powders) to fill in the sparse areas, usually from the middle section of my brows to the tails.
3. use a spoolie to gently brush through my brows in an upward motion. This is when I I lightly fill in the inner portion of my brows with no or minimal product as it’s already full and in a nicer shape.
4. use Sigma beauty brow tint (the brown side) to comb through my brows and make the whole look unified (so my brows do not look too warm or too gray and there is no stark colour difference) and stay in place.
Hope you have enjoyed this post.
