Hi everyone, I am going to talk about Australis Cosmetics Colour Inject Moisturising Mineral lipstick in shade Samba today.
Recently, I am on a kick in searching for my lips but better (MLBB) lipsticks as I feel that I can make more use out of them. I love the idea that I can apply them on my lips and add a bit colour when I don’t want to wear full face makeup but still look presentable.
As you can see from the pic below, my lips are naturally quite pigmented, I love lipsticks that are opaque and can cover my natural lip colour without too much effort. Also, my lips are dry from time to time, I prefer lipstick formula that are not drying but long lasting.
The Colour Inject Moisturising Mineral lipsticks have three categories :
Colour Inject Reds & Oranges, Colour Inject Pinks & Purples and Colour Inject Neutrals & Browns
The particular shade I picked up is Samba which is in the category of Colour Inject Neutrals & Brown, and these are described as:
What is it?
Long lasting, moisturising and nourishing lip colour in limited edition shades. It’s an injection of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, the hottest thing on everyone’s lips. It contains Kakadu plum which is the world’s highest known source of Vitamin C which is not only soothing, but also naturally stimulates collagen formation.
Why we it
Knockout limited edition colours with benefits meaning your lips will be healthier wearing colour inject lipstick and not to mention more kissable!
I absolutely love this colour and I think I have found my first ever perfect everyday MLBB lipstick. I am terrible at describing colours; to me, it looks a little bit brown based with pink, mauve tone in it. It is quite moisturising and super easy to apply(it glides on smoothly). One swipe, it covers pretty much all of my natural lip colour. It feels a bit tacky on the lips but not sticky and it has slight sheen but not shimmery at all (which I like). It wore about four hours on me as I had to take it off to have lunch (I am developing a habit, that is, to take off lip products before eating). I suspect that if I do not take it off, it will have longer wearing power. The only thing I do not like about this lipstick is the scent (smell like some kind of face powder, not obnoxious but it’s noticeable). I own two other lipsticks in this line, and the scent are different and not strong (It might because I am pregnant and highly sensitive to fragrance.) I can smell the lipstick after applying for a little while (about 10 minutes) before it faded away.
** I bought mine at Priceline. However, Australis Cosmetics does ship their products internationally.
