Hi dear everyone, today’s post is about YouTube beauty guru Tanya Burr’s line of lip glosses(Paraben Free).
I have been watching her channel for over a year, and absolutely love her makeup or makeup related videos. She has great personality, and her makeup skills are impeccable and her looks are versatile. When I heard that she is launching her own makeup line(lip glosses and nail polishes), I was so happy for her and so eager to try it out : ) Lucky enough, I could purchase her lip glosses at AU$13.98 from a online shopping site called www.feelunique.com (took about a week for delivery, and often has deals to offer) though due to restriction, I was unable to buy nail polishes.
For your reference, I have taken a picture of my natural lip colour. Generally, the colour of these lip glosses are opaque, only one layer, it pretty much can cover my natural lip colour.
Packaging: very very cute and remind me of NYX Mega Shine lip glosses (equally cute but Tanya’s one with more personal touch)
Application: I like the brush which has flat glides on my lips without any issue
Noticeable scent: sweet candy or chewing gum, however, once it’s applied on the lips, you won’t smell anything.
Texture : non- sticky or drying, super glossy but in a good way
Lasting power: I feel the darker or deeper shade last longer, for example, I wore the shade Exotic Island for a whole morning (about 4-5 hours) and only had a few sips of water since I was too busy at work, I was surprised to see that the colour still remained on my lips, even though the shine/glossiness is gone.
Chic: a nude color with a little bit peachy undertone but looks beige in the tube. I feel that this kind of nude colour suits me the most as it does not wash me out or make my lips look dull ( I feel that I have naturally dark lips), also it’s Tanya’s favorite nude too : )
Aurora: the only shade with shimmer in it however, it won’t show on the lips once it’s applied and it also appears lighter than it shows in the tube.
Exotic Island: I am terrible at describing colors even though I keep trying. This one looks hot fuchsia to me and reminds me of NYX Mega Shine lip gloss Dolly Pink which it’s more rosy.
Picnic in the park : coral pink, after applied on the lips, it looks similar with Aurora, but I feel Aurora looks more wearable in person.
First date : the only colour that is too light for my liking and wash me out. However, it would be a good gloss to pair with other lipsticks to tone down or neutralize the warm tone of a lipstick.
Vampire Kiss: hot vampy red when it swatches on my hand,. however it is actually more wearable than the name suggests because of its glossy finish.
Have you tried Tanya Burr’s line of lip glosses? What do you think of them? I think the next time when it have a good deal on Feel Unique, I would buy the shade Afternoon Tea to try.
Hope you have enjoyed the post.
