Hi dear everyone, hope you are having an awesome day so far.
I love makeup and I own a mix of budget and high end products. However, I do purchase more budget beauty products. During my journey of collecting makeup items, I often ask the question that how I enjoy what I do and love without breaking the bank?! Ever since I found that some budget beauty products are just as good quality as those high end ones, and much more affordable, I am hooked.
I always like eye shadows in the form of a palette, such as those ones from Urban Decay, Stila and Lorac. However, I also love buying single eye shadows from Inglot, M.A.C, Makeup Geek and create my own palettes. I love palettes because they take up less space no matter it is for storage or travel; all the eye shadow colors that I like are stored in the same place where I can pick, mix and match those colors when I want to be creative and less colors are left forgotten to use.
Some of my favorite self created palettes are Z Palettes and M.A.C pro palettes. However, when I do every day eye makeup, I only need three to four colors for my eye shape to make it defined; that’s when a four-pan palette like M.A.C pro palette eye shadow x4 comes in handy.
A while ago, I bought e.l.f custom compact which has four compartments and happily discovered that it can fit my M.A.C eye shadow refill pans.
Both the e.l.f and M.A.C palettes are made of sturdy plastic. However, I prefer my e.l.f one a tad more for reasons like:
1. it is way cheaper. I bought my e.l.f custom compact for $3.00 from www.elfcosmetics.com.au and from my memory, it costs me $20 something to get the M.A.C one from M.A.C pro.
2. there is a mirror inside the e.l.f palette and it is a decent size. If I carry it with me outside and I can use it for touch up.
3. it has a magnetic lock-in system that I will never be afraid that my eye shadow pans are dropped out when I carry it with me travelling.
Have you tried e.l.f custom compact before? Do you prefer palettes or single eye shadows? What are you favorite eye shadow palettes? Please share with you in the comments.
