Hi my dear readers, hope you all having a nice weekend. We went out in the afternoon and watched The Amazing Spider Man 2. It was a good fun movie but also sad as Gwen died in the end. I wonder how did that happen? So does that mean there is no more Spider Man? or there is one, but Emma Stone won’t be starring in it? Or will they bring her back to life? It’s a bizarre ending to me, except I liked how that little boy who were brave and cute standing up against the baddie.
I did not feel like doing too much makeup today, so instead of wearing foundation or BB cream, I opted for concealers to cover my under eye dark circle and conceal other imperfections on my skin. The products I used were Benefit Erase Paste No.2, benefit Lemon Aid and Maybelline fit me concealer 20. I also applied Maybelline 20 all over my face and used Real Technique’s Expert Face brush to buff it into the skin. From time to time, I like soft and natural makeup because I want my skin to breathe and have a break even though I love makeup dearly/obsessively(yes, I said it, I am obsessed with makeup!)
Today’s spotlight is on the eyebrow products, the lipstick and the hair curler.
1. Nyx eyebrow shaper and Whitening Lightning Brow bar to go in Brunette to Ebony.
I love these two products! First of all, Nyx eyebrow shaper. I bought it just to try and wasn’t expecting miracle. But I am in love! It is so easy to use because it is wax in the form of a pen. It takes my eyebrow hair to the direction that is supposed to be and it sets them in place in just a few stokes. It is clear in colour so my eyebrows won’t look as stark and dark. Second, Whitening Lightning Brow Bar to go. I heard so much about it, so I had to get it and try myself. The product contains two brow powders and one wax. I usually use the warm brown first to define, then the cool brown on top to neutralize the warmth as the warm brown has reddish tone in it(more like a chocolate color to me). These powders are smooth and pigmented; it’s easy to apply and normally last me a good eight hours.

2. Revlon Colour Burst Matte Lip Balm Audacious
It is a beautiful orange with a hint of coral. Orange colour lippie is one of the 2014 Spring/Summer beauty trend and personally(as I have mentioned in my previous post), I love it. It is a colour that makes me happy, I don’t know why, but it does! This Lip Balm lasted me the whole afternoon when I was out and about. Even though it is matte finish, it does not feel dry on my lips at all. I would say that the name of the product is pretty spot on.
Modiva is an Australian owned company who specialized in hair styling tools. They also sell their products in USA with a US plug and free shipping (www.modiva.com). I bought mine from their Australian website (www.modiva.com.au) when it was on sale. I have no talent in styling hair whatsoever, this curling iron has definitely made my life very easier. Before the curling process, I brushed my hair making sure there was no knots twisting my hair together. The curling iron is quick to heat up so I don’t need to wait around and it usually takes me about 10-15 minutes to curl all my hair. However, be careful not to burn yourself like I did today( I was clumsy and in rush). If you are new to curling your hair by yourself, you can use the glove provided. Even with high temperature, the heat does not make my hair look dry or dull. After curling and with good hair setting spray, my hair can last about a day without loosing its shape. I also own a 25mm curling iron, normally the larger barrel, the looser curl. Personally I prefer the 25mm one as I like tighter curls.
What are your favorite eyebrow products and hair styling tools? I would love to know.
Thanks for reading.
Stay fabulous and beautiful; stay tuned for my next post.
